My husband Jason and I have 5 beautiful children, they may give us good times and bad times but we would never trade them for anything. We both feel very blessed and love them more and more everyday! Larissa (22 and in heaven), Kaitlyn (21), Noah (19), Charlie (13) and Adian (11). This year we asked Kaitlyn's boyfriend Dylan (who she has been dating for some time now) to be part of our family photo!
Every year I try to get family photos of us all and I always seem to be able to plan it that all the kids are together and we get the photos done. This year I asked a fellow photographer to take them for us and she did a great job considering the weather. We plan weeks in advance and plan the clothing. It was looking like the weather was in our favor until that day. :( It started to light rain and I almost said just forget it. I knew if I did we would not have our family photo this year as it was a little window to have everyone together. We showed up and we went for it!! Its so hard to get everyone together once your kids go off to collage or move out of your house. Heck its hard to even see them as they start a new life, their life with out parents. This photo means so much more then standing in front of a camera saying cheese or whatever to make you smile. For us parents its getting together for a event, asking for some time spent. Seeing them for a few moments and thinking how much of adults they are! This photo is a memory that we can put on a Christmas card, make big print to put on a wall and something that will last forever no matter what happens in our lives. We as parents cherish the yearly photo because its more then a piece of paper or a digital file, its a memory that will last a lifetime.
Thank you for my children and step children for making us parents. Your dad and I love you!
